"Brilliant food and charming service"
Went to Rock Salt last week for my birthday with eight friends. We had a great time and were blown away by the beautifully cooked, well presented and flavoursome food. Each dish in all three courses was great, and we all tasted each others choices to check! I had been unexpectedly given a cake for my birthday and they were happy to present it at the end of the meal. The service was attentive but discreet and the waiting staff were charming. Some of our table returned the next day for brunch which was also excellent. Plymouth needs somewhere like this; bravo!

"Perfect"
Called on the off chance they had a table early on Friday evening to be told that we could have a table if we could get there in a short time, which we could. So glad we called as we had a fantastic meal. The service was very friendly, and the food was superb. Great presentation and great flavours. I had the Lamb on Chantel's advice and wasn't sorry. My sort of place, very relaxed, great decor, wonderful concept. Will be back as have to show this place off to people who may not otherwise find it because of it's unusual location.

We cannot fault the informality, the wonderful food, the value and the attentive relaxed atmosphere. It's well worth the trip, the wine is very good and there's a lack of pretense.

"Another great night"
Rock Salt, headed up by Chantel out front, never fails to impress. The welcome is great, the food superb and the atmosphere always good. They have got it so right, where others fall by the wayside. When they opened I wondered if the location might be a negative, it most certainly is not.A glowing review in the Western Morning News last weekend of Rock Salt said "watch out Fearnley Whittingstall" at the Royal William Yard. In my opinion they are not in the same category.

"Lovely treat"
Visited at lunchtime and had tea and scones, the scones were out of this world, fresh and warm and well presented. Pleasant friendly staff and great atmosphere will be visiting again very soon.
